Raj Mistry collaborates with Danish outerwear company Rains, as part of the designer’s Royal College of Art MA collection. A film shot on location in the designer’s home town of Luton has been created in celebration of the jacket’s launch. Reflecting his desire to run away from his childhood town, the realisation that it has come to inform and nurture his character slowly dawns, ultimately becoming a defining aspect of his identity.
Made using the heavyweight polyester usually seen in Rains’ bags and accessories, the jacket plays with shape and volume, and is finished with sonic seams for protection from the elements.
