New Music: Listen to the new single “Crash” by HÖGNI

If you’re familiar with the very rich and idiosyncratic Icelandic music landscape, you’ve certainly heard of such bands as Hjaltalín or GusGus. Well, HÖGNI a.k.a. Högni Egilsson is a member of both of these bands who prepares his solo adventure with debut album ”Two Trains” to be released 20th October via the cult Erased Tapes label.
“Crash” will not disappoint the lovers of experimental music, with cold electronic soundscapes as background, the song starts with Högni relating in his delicate vibrato the story of a crash, before entering a rich strings interlude and finally taking the song into an aggressive finale with techno-esque synths.
