C2H4 LA‘s SS16 collection theme “Ice Cold” represents the regressing relationships between people in a digital age of social media. “We tend to distance ourselves further from each other by using different digital platforms, instead of building real ties between each other.” -said the designer. “An Ice Cold feeling is left, once the devices are shut down.”
Furthermore, the distressing of fabric, the oversized baggy pants, the patchwork and choice of denim, highlight and mirror the overwhelming homeless culture in Los Angeles. Details of clothes and fabrics are taken straight from the streets of LA into the new C2H4 line.
