The 38th edition of the Hyères International Festival is about to take place
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
Less than a month to go until the 38th edition of the Hyères International Fashion, Photography, and Accessories Festival, the world’s oldest for young professionals and one of the most important in the sector, if not the most. This unmissable event for many will take place from 12th to 15th October 2023 at Villa Noailles, a renowned Côte d’Azur house built by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens.

Anyone familiar with the industry, and above all who understands it, will know what important work the fest – founded and directed by Jean-Pierre Blanc and chaired by Pascale Mussard – does and how necessary it is, as it has been promoting and supporting the international creation of young fashion, as well as accessories, since 1986, although this was years later. And wait, because that’s not the end of it, since 1997 it has been focusing on the field of photography and the recognition of emerging photographers.
Year after year, numerous companies decide to join forces and contribute to making this event a success and to provide the selected candidates with good practical assistance, covering various areas such as financing, production, craftsmanship, materials, publishing, etc. Partners include CHANEL, LVMH, Hermès, the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion, Galeries Lafayette, Mercedes-Benz, and many others.
If you’re one of the festival’s many supporters, you’re in luck, because for yet another edition the exhibitions will be open to the public, and best of all, until the end of January 2024. This means that you have plenty of time to attend and you have no excuse – see you there!
