Burberry Celebrates the Year of the Horse
by Adriano Batista
Burberry has released a new capsule collection to celebrate the 2026 Year of the Horse. The campaign features the brand’s Chinese ambassadors: actors Chen Kun, Tang Wei, Wu Lei, and Zhang Jingyi.
The collection’s central symbol is the house’s logo, the Knight. For this line, the Knight is reimagined as a watercolour and ink sketch. It is brought to life using detailed techniques like metallic embroidery, cross-stitch, and fabric badges.
The horse is an important symbol for Burberry. The original Knight logo was the winning design from a public contest around 1901. The horse is meant to stand for protection, innovation, and the brand’s forward-moving spirit. The collection focuses on the colour red. In Chinese culture, red is a sign of luck and prosperity. The collection includes scarves and daywear in a new, exclusive red version of the Burberry Check.
Key outerwear items are the Berryhill car coat and the Floriston quilted jacket, both made from a shimmering nylon. The brand has also expanded its gifting selection. This includes soft accessories, bags, and small leather goods, all decorated with the seasonal Knight design.
