Montblanc presents “The Desk” at Paris Fashion Week
by Adriano Batista
Montblanc showcased its new leather collections at La Galerie Bourbon, a historic venue in the heart of Paris, during Paris Fashion Week. The event attracted media, influencers and VIP guests, such as football legend Zinedine Zidane, actor Rupert Friend, and Spanish photographer Nacho Yanes, who were among the first to admire the leather pieces that combine Montblanc’s heritage with innovative designs by the artistic director Marco Tomasetta.
The leather collections were inspired by Montblanc’s latest theme, The Desk, which celebrates the desktop as a place of creation and self-expression. The Desk follows the Library Spirit campaign, launched in 2023, which highlighted Montblanc’s connection with the culture of writing and the power of libraries. While libraries offer inspiration from the past, desktops are where new ideas are born, and where Montblanc’s products, such as the iconic Meisterstück, help writers and creators to express themselves.
The guests were welcomed by a coffee cart and a large Meisterstück installation on the patio, as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the most emblematic product of the House, which will be celebrated in 2024. Inside the venue, they could explore the latest Montblanc collections and experience the desk, where anyone can unleash their creativity. La Galerie Bourbon, which was once the home of the Spanish royal family in Paris, was recently restored to its original splendor and elegance. It was also the place where Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the author of The Little Prince, stayed and found inspiration for his masterpiece.
