Dr. Martens has announced a collaboration with the National Gallery. The collection, which celebrates the museum’s bicentennial, is not just a fusion of fashion and art; it’s a statement. Featuring the work of Harmen Steenwyck, a master of the Dutch vanitas style, Dr. Martens invites us to ponder the fleeting nature of life and the superficial allure of material possessions.

The collaboration brings Steenwyck’s vision to life on the iconic 1460 boot, the 1461 shoe, and a robust leather backpack. Each piece is a canvas, showcasing the intricate details of Steenwyck’s work, complemented by DM’s signature yellow stitching, original soles, and antique gold hardware.
