Tremaine Emory’s Denim Tears unveils Sweet Corner, a new collection rooted in nostalgia for the bodegas of his childhood in Jamaica, Queens. The drop reworks familiar New York corner-store imagery (like the Cee-Lo NY game and coin-operated ride-on horses) into wearable pieces, alongside the brand’s signature Denim University tees, mesh shorts, sweatpants, and zip hoodies in fresh colorways.

For the campaign, Denim Tears tapped Polo Silk, the photographer who famously captured New Orleans’ bounce scene and the rise of the Hot Boyz. His signature airbrushed backdrops give Sweet Corner’s editorial a dreamlike, throwback feel, matching the collection’s mix of streetwear and personal memory.

Emory has always woven Black cultural history into his designs, and Sweet Corner is no different. It’s a tribute to the spaces that shaped him, the fluorescent-lit, candy-stocked bodegas that served as community hubs.
