Bao Family & Puma Celebrate Chinese New Year

This Bao Family and Puma teamed up to celebrate the Chinese New Year, with a bright red football jersey. This is their second year working together on a project like this, and the red color, which is traditional for Lunar New Year, represents good luck and prosperity.
Bao Family sees this jersey as a way to show their culture. They’ve been focused on this since they started their restaurants in 2019. They’re proud of where they come from and want to share it with others. The jersey is like a way to wave their flag and say, “This is us.”
The jersey has a bunch of little details that point back to Chinese culture, like different logos, a snake symbol, and the number 8, which is considered lucky. But more than just the symbols, the jersey also represents family coming together. Like a football team, family is super important in Chinese culture, and Lunar New Year is the big holiday where everyone gets together. This collaboration is about that feeling of togetherness.
To show that this idea of unity is important to everyone, not just one culture, they worked with photographer Mengyu Zhou and eight people from all sorts of jobs and backgrounds. They wanted to show that these values—family, togetherness, and being proud of who you are—are things everyone can relate to.
