On July 1st at Berlin’s old Tempelhof Airport, BALLETSHOFER staged a runway show that challenged how we dress for travel. Titled “Dress Like You Mean Departure,” the Spring/Summer 2026 collection rejected the modern slump of sweats and hoodies, arguing instead for intentional style even in transit.

The setting (Tempelhof’s vast, shadowy terminal) framed models moving like purposeful passengers: boarding, pausing, striding toward some unseen gate. The clothes mirrored this energy, cut for motion but never at the expense of polish. Tailoring anchored the show with structured wool suits with boarding-pass pinstripes, trench coats that billowed like parachutes. Even tracksuits got a rethink, reworked in lace and bonded wool to prove comfort and sophistication aren’t mutually exclusive.

“When did ‘comfortable’ become an excuse for careless?” The collection answered with sharp 90s-inspired silhouettes and details that refused to fade into the background. The partnership with Timberland deepened this season, introducing a sleek black leather mule built for movement but finished with BALLETSHOFER’s signature blue tongue.

This wasn’t just nostalgia for jet-set glamour. It was a call to reset standards, to treat every departure (whether a flight or a daily commute) as worth dressing for.
