ERL presents its signature Vamp shoe in new black and brown colorways. Designed by Eli Russell Linnetz in Venice Beach, California, the shoe arrives as part of the brand’s fifth anniversary Fall/Winter 2025 collection.

The Vamp is a shoe with a history. Developed over several years, it earned immediate acclaim upon its release in 2024. Its design appears simple but holds a deeper complexity. The shoe is a direct homage to the hometown of its creator, Eli Russell Linnetz.

Built as a skateboarding shoe with a chunky shape, the Vamp incorporates ERL’s signature swirl and wave motifs. Its look draws from a local grunge aesthetic, grounding its design in a specific place and feeling.

The black and brown colorway is made from a flexible polyurethane foam. The attention to a local vibe extends to the packaging. The shoebox is made from the same corrugated material used by the US Postal Service. The box is transparent, revealing newsprint wrapping inside printed with archives from 1970s Venice Beach underground newspapers.
