Tommy Hilfiger celebrates Chinese New Year with Miffy

Tommy Hilfiger launches its TOMMY X MIFFY capsule collection to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2023, the year of the rabbit. Starring the beloved cartoon character Miffy, the collection blends her minimalist aesthetic with Tommy’s all-American flair, resulting in fun, on-trend looks.
“This collaboration unleashes creativity and reflects the irreverent and optimistic spirit of our brand,” in the words of Tommy Hilfiger. “Miffy embodies many of our brand values: being adventurous, open to new experiences, and having a relentlessly positive attitude. The TOMMY X MIFFY collection is the perfect combination of preppy style with maximum fun!”
This capsule, made up of 50 garments, reinterprets some of the brand’s most iconic garments giving them the distinctive touch of ‘Miffy’. Tommy classics like the varsity jacket, chino pants, rugby polo shirt, V-neck sweaters and caps are reinvented with the Miffy logo and primary colors like the iconic TOMMY HILFIGER red, white and blue. In the Chinese horoscope, the rabbit represents optimism, resourcefulness and luck, attributes that define the TOMMY X MIFFY collection, to celebrate self-expression in this new lunar year.
Created by Dutch author and illustrator Dick Bruna in 1955, Miffy’s popularity has endured through the decades, with books featuring the legendary bunny selling more than 85 million copies worldwide. A true pop culture icon, Miffy continues to be a favorite of children and adults around the world. This capsule once again demonstrates Tommy Hilfiger’s goal of collaborating with multi-generational cult figures.
