A building or place where works of art, scientific specimens, or other objects of permanent value are kept and displayed.
The literal definition of museum is, so to speak, frank, precise, with no frills. It seems to have little or nothing to do with the concept of art but of the art the museum is the container, the stronghold. It’s the bulwark of visionary dreams, ancient glories, lost civilizations… supreme manifestation of the ego-man.
The Fucking Young!’s new issue is going to be a tribute to this timeless place. We want to celebrate it through our pages. They will be themselves a “container” in which to expose your Artworks. They will represent our, your little portable MUSEUM.
Majestic, modern or futuristic… both mirror of the “jewels” that it contains and magnificent expression of the contemporary society. To enter a museum means to have access to another dimension: an oneiric, deep, stimulating one. It means to indulge in a pure, sublime pleasure… that of knowledge. It means to be ready to face an internally and fascinating yet journey. An exciting journey including stendhalian paintings, ancient Roman statues, pharaonic sarcophaguses, extinct dinosaurs. A journey around the world, locked in a hall. A journey which is metaphorical and yet not less electrifying than the one told by Jules Verne in his Le tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours… And that’s how we want to start…
We counted on the participation of international photographers like Alice Rosati, Amit Israeli, Dorothée Murail, Giovanni Squatriti, Gorka Postigo, Jay Schoen, Jo Duck, Luca Finotti, Marlen Keller, Michiel Meewis, Phil Dunlop, Richie Talboy, Saverio Cardia, Stefan Milev and Wendelien Daan, as well as recognised models like Bastiaan Van Gaalen, Adrien Sahores, Alexander Beck, Simone Nobili, Adrian Cardoso, Jaco Van Den Hoven, Pascal Bonvie, Matthew Bell and a big etcetera.
