Created by the visionary artist and designer David Méndez Alonso, Outsiders Division is an independent clothing firm that defies convention and celebrates individuality. Their studio in Barcelona is a hub of creative energy, where they use art and emotions to craft collections that cater to those who refuse to grow up.
David’s unique perspective on color and his transgressive approach to reality and emotions are at the heart of every project he undertakes. With his motto “the beauty of error,” he fearlessly explores dreamlike worlds of fantasy and whimsy, designing, drawing, sculpting, installing, painting, and playing without limits. David’s work has already caught the attention of major brands such as Adidas, Samsung, Converse, Nike, H&M, Levi’s, Pull&Bear, and Reebok.
But David’s artistic vision isn’t limited to clothing. His career has taken him to major exhibitions in some of the world’s most vibrant cities, including London, Barcelona, Dubai, Beijing, New York, Berlin, Madrid, Monterrey, and Paris.
The new collection – Treasure Chest – presented during 080 Barcelona Fashion, features a Dalmatian dress, organic cotton sweaters, crochet patches, leopard and tartan, oil-painted bones, furry coats, colorful soles on handmade shoes, a carrot-shaped hat, and another with yellow antennae, a portrait of cats and dogs printed on a suit, gingham cardigans and shirts, striped rugby polo shirts, and a green meadow stitched into a feather duster. With Outsiders Division, anything is possible.
