LỰU ĐẠN Fall/Winter 2024
by Adriano Batista
LỰU ĐẠN has launched its sixth collection, featuring 28 edgy and rebellious looks. The collection is inspired by the theme of fighting one’s own demons and finding freedom in surrender.
The collection’s story is told through the eyes of three real-life characters, who embody the spirit of LỰU ĐẠN’s man: Jiman, a Malaysian punk rocker and lawyer; Hao, a Chinese DJ and party-goer; and James, a reformed bad boy. These men have faced their own battles and challenges, and have emerged stronger and wiser. They represent the diversity and authenticity of LỰU ĐẠN’s vision, which transcends the boundaries of geography and culture.
The collection’s garments reflect the brand’s signature aesthetic of motocross, fight-club, and nocturnal influences, with a touch of vintage and retro flair.
Hung La, the creative director and founder of LỰU ĐẠN, explains that the collection is a reflection of his own journey of self-discovery and acceptance. He says that he wanted to create a collection that was not only visually striking, but also emotionally resonant. He says that he wanted to invite the audience to “tell me what you see”, and to experience the collection for themselves. He adds that he hopes that the collection will inspire others to face their own fears and find their own freedom.
