This might be one of the most interesting unions of 2022. Jimmy Choo + Timberland + Harlem’s Fashion Row. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? True, the first two brands we just mentioned already collaborated in 2020, but two years later they’re back in fashion news with a New York-based agency (HFR), which offers opportunities to emerging black and Latino creatives, who were introduced to New York designer Shanel Campbell.

The capsule, inspired by work and outdoor activities, consists of seven styles for men and women, including two hot pink velvet boots with transparent soles, two classic nubuck boots with a graffiti-inspired Jimmy Choo logo, a black boot with a Swarovski crystal-embellished collar and a black leather boot with a thigh-high harness that does double duty as a style, transforming into the classic “6-inch” silhouette with ease.

All parties involved in the project have expressed their excitement and joy at having collaborated:

Sandra Choi, creative director of Jimmy Choo had this to say: “Working with Harlem’s Fashion Row and Shanel Campbell brought a new dimension to the collaboration. Shanel infused the collection with her authentic New York creative lens, a true New Yorker who lives and breathes the heartbeat of this vibrant city. I love mixing things up by teaming up with interesting creative minds, combining our DNA to create beautiful and surprising pieces. This collaboration celebrates the urban glamour, resilience, and eclecticism of the city’s dynamic community, a tribute to the quintessential New York staple, Timberland boots.”

Shanel Campbell, this: “Collaborating with two brands has been one of the most interesting things I’ve ever done. I constantly wondered what it looks like when these worlds – Jimmy Choo and Timberland – collide. It was an incredible experience to collaborate with another woman in a creative director role. It was also very inspiring because it’s like looking at the future I want to have one day. I’m super excited to see my fellow New Yorkers wearing this collection, I thrive on the vibe and energy of the city. Without a doubt, my main source of inspiration is New Yorkers, from the people riding the city’s transportation system to the suits on Wall Street – they inform everything I create.”

And finally, Drieke Leenknegt, CMO of Timberland, added: “Although our brand was born in New England in 1973, we have always considered New York City our second home. This community has helped make us what we are today, which is why we were thrilled to bring Harlem’s Fashion Row on board as a partner. It’s been an honor to work alongside Shanel and this incredible team of creatives to blend Timberland’s outdoor and work heritage, Jimmy Choo’s glamour, and New York’s energy and create such a unique collection.”

The collection is accompanied by an inspiring video interview with Shanel Campbell and a campaign, which celebrates the city’s vibrant creative community, and is shot on a New York rooftop with local talent including Justine Skye and Pi’erre Bourne.

The Jimmy Choo x Timberland collaboration will launch globally on November 30, 2022, in Jimmy Choo and Timberland shops and select premium retailers worldwide.
