Many were waiting for the moment when Wales Bonner and Adidas’ new collection would be unveiled, and to the delight of some, that moment has finally arrived. The Spring/Summer 2023 line from the German sports brand and the British designer is here and is inspired by the landscapes of Jamaica, a special place for Grace, as part of her origins are there.
“Land of Wood and Water”, the name given to the proposal, is an offering that arrives full of vintage silhouettes and Caribbean colors that are masterfully combined with contemporary touches. These defining features of the collection are visible in the Wales Bonner and Adidas wardrobe, which is composed of athleisure style pieces, ideal to be worn either for strolling the streets of any city or why not, to do sport without losing a bit of style.
For either of these two situations, you can wear the blue-green nylon tracksuit, one of the capsule’s main protagonists, which stands out for being sleeveless at the top and for being fitted at the hem. Other garments that catch the eye are the knitted waistcoat and the turtleneck jumper, both with the corresponding contemporary touch we mentioned above. To complement these pieces, and especially for those days when it’s a little colder than usual, there are the classic Adidas zip-up jackets, with the three stripes on the sleeves, but with the Bonner touch that makes them different and even more special.
All the clothes offered in this capsule are special and speak for themselves, but if we add to this the sneakers and socks that both of them have designed, the final result is simply great. And attention sneaker lovers, because here comes what you’ve been asking for several days: the new Samba and the SL72 Knit. Starting with the Samba, these come in two possible forms, either in a formal nubuck with leather stripes or in silver with a large tongue on the upper and crochet detailing, matching the two-piece set of bib jacket and low-rise shorts, also available in the line. As for the SL72, these are the perfect homage to Jamaica, which comes with knitted details in shades of green, brown, and orange.
The Adidas Originals by Wales Bonner S/S 2023 “Land of Wood and Water” collection will be available worldwide on June 9th through Confirmed, the Adidas website, and in selected shops. Check out the collection below:
