ASICS at Paris Fashion Week with Tommy Genesis
by Anna Barr

ASICS had several big collabs during Paris Fashion Week from GMBH to Kiko Kostadinov. Last Wednesday all the sneakerheads came out the historic la Gaîté Lyrique to see all the upcoming kicks dropping soon including the London based fashion house rokh. The limited-edition unisex capsule collection of 100 pairs will be sold exclusively at Dover Street Market London.

“We started this collaboration and communication very organically and genuinely for the love of technology and innovation. Asics is a company with a strong vision and technology; rokh’s artisan craft and innovation has come together to build this story and collaboration.” – Rok Hwang

Other showcases included the newest releases of the season, the GEL-NANDI™ 360 and the GEL-1090™, ASICS delivers fresh design elements without compromising tried-and-true technical features. Made for hitting the streets or off the beaten path, the GEL-NANDI™ 360 is a hybrid model that takes an archival trail runner and modernizes it with premium suede detailing. The GEL-1090™, originally worn by gold medalists, is a cult-favorite among street runners that draws on decades of Japanese expertise. Along the lineup will also be the 1964 RETRO and MODERN TOKYO packs, plus a new translucent iteration of the 2019 bring back of the GEL-KAYANO™ 5 360.

The explosive evening also included performances by resident DJ and Parisian local Bambz, rapper Bolémvn, Zoovie Kazuyoshi, Tommy Genesis headlining and electronic artist Poté finished off the set with a nightcap of dance-enabling drum and percussion straight from the Caribbean. Meanwhile, a never-before-seen immersive, 360-degree mapping experience enveloped the main room, with an array of interactive installations that everyone explored throughout the night.
