Arte Antwerp and digitalisation are much more than friends…
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
Digitalisation is something that has taken hold in several sectors or industries, but especially in the fashion world. And not only in terms of the presentation of collections, NFTs, and so on but also in terms of inspiration, as many brands today have taken this concept to develop their proposals and have been more than attracted by pixels. Lacoste, for example, presented last year a line closely related to the latter. But leaving aside the French brand, the latest to join this trend has been Arte Antwerp, an artistic design company based in Belgium, its country of origin, which has launched the first instalment of its Fall/Winter 2023 collection.
In this day and age, it’s impossible to ignore digital and pretend nothing is happening. That’s not the case with the Belgian brand, as it has successfully connected the visual elements of modern art with early graphic design techniques through its first release. As a result of this connection, minimalist style garments in neutral and vibrant colours, in the form of T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, sweatshirts, and trousers, and with pixelated motifs, have appeared, which serve as a tribute to the origins of technology and creative innovation.
A notable feature of the offering is the introduction of a special tactile material for cold weather accompanied by a quilted heart print, applied to several pieces.
The first delivery of the Arte Antwerp Fall/Winter 2023 collection is now available for purchase on its website and in selected stores. How will the second delivery look like? We can’t wait to see it.
