Carlota Barrera’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection examines intimacy. It focuses on what rests against the skin, what is kept from view, and the moment it is shown to others. The work studies the space between private life and public life, and how revealing something can become its own form of expression.
The logic of lingerie is applied through the rules of tailoring. Elements like adjustable straps, sheer fabrics, and internal constructions are moved to the outside of garments. Pin tucks resemble the seams of stockings. Tuxedo straps recall the closure of a bra. Detached tapes suggest the presence of garters.
These design choices do not make menswear softer. Instead, they change its framework. They start a conversation about seduction, vulnerability, and control. The fabric acts like a second skin. The structure of a garment becomes a deliberate gesture.
This collection continues the brand’s focus on redefining menswear. It exists between categories: formal and informal, seen and unseen, masculine and feminine. It is a project that embraces ambiguity, values craft, and expresses a quiet defiance.
