Take a look at SONGZIO SS17 Backstage photographed by Eva K. Salvi during London Collections Men, in exclusive for Fucking Young!
Songzio showed his collection in London for the first time this season, having previously shown in Paris for the past decade. The Korean designer’s starting point for each collection comes from his use of oil and canvas. His paint strokes and colour combinations then lead the way for the collection to unfold.
Blue dominates this season’s colour palette, with a little bit more of a colour mashup towards the end of the collection with the addition of canary yellow, lush greens and hints of red. The collection makes a very monochrome start, before we see Songzio’s signature brush stroke prints strewn across tailoring, shirts and even featured heavily throughout his latest foray into womenswear, seen in eight androgynous looks.
Silhouettes maintain the Korean designer’s trademark clean lines and relaxed fits across roomy trousers, dropped hem blazers and soft shirts. Sheer pieces and panels of garments are seen throughout, adding a subtle but elegant texture to the already sophisticated collection.
