And just like that it just happened…Slam Jam and Dr. Martens are collaborating for the first time to explore the intersection between functional workwear and its adoption by electronic music subcultures.

For the collaboration with Dr. Martens, Slam Jam’s perspective is viewed through the lens of electronic music subcultures that have embraced workwear aesthetics. The 1461 shoe is retooled and reworked with influences from construction workers’ uniforms which prioritize protection and visibility.

This timeless three-eyed model, perfect for this time of year, is made from smooth black leather with custom molded vamps and sidewalls in homage to protective footwear and features reflective detailing and laces commonly seen on hi-vis jackets. The Slam Jam (Un)corporate Uniform branding and DM’s iconic yellow stitching are visible. Finishing touches are the sidewall eyelets, screw-off aglets, a black-on-black heel loop, and the traditional DMS outsole.

Dr. Martens X Slam Jam is available at DrMartens.com and at Slam Jam stores and website.
