PUMA has teamed up with French designer Louis Gabriel Nouchi to revisit an archive piece. Their project is the Mostro Sock, a new version of the hybrid shoe first introduced in 1999.

This update changes the shoe’s main feature. The original Mostro’s signature strap is gone, replaced by a simple, ankle-high sock-like build. This creates a clean, modern look. But the shoe keeps its identity. The recognizable spiked rubber sole remains, with its aggressive tread pattern that recalls the shoe’s sporty origins.

The design draws from the fabrics and forms of running and football styles. It is made from a breathable textile and has a pull tab at the heel to make it easy to put on and take off. This slip-on, laceless design is also an accessibility-focused feature, making the shoe practical for para-athletes.

The PUMA x LGN Mostro Sock will be available in black and khaki starting September 27, 2025, on louisgabrielnouchi.com and at select PUMA retailers.
