Patta and Nike Celebrate Two Decades with Iconic Chlorophyll Re-Release
by Adriano Batista
Patta and Nike are joining forces to celebrate two momentous occasions: Patta’s 20th anniversary and 15 years of collaboration between the two brands. This celebration comes in the form of a highly anticipated re-release – the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Chlorophyll.
First launched in 2009, the Chlorophyll quickly became a holy grail for Air Max 1 fans. This re-release stays true to the original design with a few modern updates. The iconic Chlorophyll and Matte Silver colorway remains unchanged, along with the custom Patta tongue label, a testament to the brand’s unique place in sneaker culture.
“The original Chlorophyll project was almost like a first album: There was a lot of energy, a lot of ideation in there, and the product was just very organic,” says Patta co-founder Guillaume “Gee” Schmidt. “With this release, we stick to the essence of the shoe, which really stands the test of time. It’s just an amazing moment to bring back a shoe that’s so coveted, that’s so loved by the sneaker community and the community at large.”
This collaboration goes beyond a single shoe. Patta, which began as a small Amsterdam boutique, has blossomed into a multifaceted brand known for its creativity and community focus. Patta and Nike have partnered on over 10 occasions, including six sought-after Air Max 1 colorways, making them Nike’s longest and most impactful Air Max collaborator. Their partnership extends beyond footwear and apparel, with Nike supporting Patta Academy, an initiative empowering young entrepreneurs.

The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Chlorophyll will be available exclusively at pattaxnike.com and Patta stores on September 13th, with early access available on September 12th at the Lagos, Nigeria location.
