Shot over two days, the performance film features songs from Sumney’s albums “græ” and “Aromanticism”. “Blackalachia” is Sumney’s feature-length directorial debut and its accompanying album, “Live from Blackalachia”, came out on December 10th.
Previously the American artist featured several guest vocal appearances with James Blake, Solange as well as Woodkid on a Louis Vuitton soundtrack. His latest record “Græ” came out in 2020 via Jagjaguwar.
