Mario Keine’s new collection for MARKE, “Zapfenstreich,” presented during Berlin Fashion Week, is a fresh take on traditional attire. Drawing from his upbringing in Sauerland and experiences with local shooting festivals, Keine critiques the exclusionary nature of these events. The collection mixes masculine forms with queer culture elements, challenging conservative fashion norms. It features vibrant plaids, jerseys, and mélange fabrics in bold colors like turquoise-pink and black-red, all sourced sustainably from Italian overstock. This approach not only questions tradition but also celebrates diversity and individuality in fashion.
