Streaming over 13.2 billion times, he’s considered one of the most successful independent artists ever. Starting at 15, inspired by East Coast rap icons, Macklemore’s journey includes mixtapes like “The Unplanned Mixtape” and his debut album “The Language of My World” in 2005.

But it was his partnership with Ryan Lewis that launched him to superstardom. Their 2012 album “The Heist” included mega-hits like “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us,” making them household names.

Going solo again in 2017, Macklemore kept the party going with “Gemini,” featuring artists like Kesha, Dan Caplen, Offset and Lil Yachty. His latest album, “Ben,” dropped in 2023, with the single “No Bad Days” even featuring his daughter! He’s currently on a world tour, and luckily for Lisbon, it includes a stop at Rock In Rio!
