Alexa Chia Wan Yu is a menswear design senior graduate at Parsons. For her Thesis and first collection, Alexa was inspired by reincarnation and the creation of a second life for the inanimate. It uses the wardrobe staple, denim as the starting point and throughout the collection, this identity of denim undergo material incarnations using more unconventional materiality such as plexiglass and treated vinyl.
