Givenchy Opens Flagship In Milan!
by Adriano Batista

Sited on the Via Sant’Andrea, the new iconic boutique is at the heart of the city’s luxury and fashion district, which surrounds the world-famous Via Montenapoleone. The opening marks an important step in the House’s retail development and strategy of creating ‘tailor-made’ boutiques, marking its commitment to the Italian market and its fashion customers.
The atmosphere within the flagship and on the street where it sits is one of elegant intimacy, where shoppers walk through the area to take time to enjoy and appreciate the environment. The store reflects the ambiance of Via Sant’Andrea, a more understated and sophisticated street within the internationally renowned Fashion Quarter and a preferred destination for the Milanese and Italians shoppers. By crossing the threshold of the severe and clean façade of the Milanese Palazzo, the inner 400m2 surface will feature a number of small rooms, each offering a new experience and a surprise that immerse the visitor in a rich yet refined context contrasting with the understated exteriors, a typical juxtaposition which is prevalent in several important buildings in Milan. It continues the commitment of Riccardo Tisci, Creative Director, to using pure, sweeping lines, while bringing echoes of the House’s heritage and the vision of founder Hubert de Givenchy. The overall impression is that of an art gallery with carefully curated spaces dedicated to the house of Givenchy in Milan. In each room, precious goods are presented against unexpected and minimalist backdrops.
“Milan is one of the world’s most vibrant centres of fashion and one where I feel completely at home. I wanted to create something special and unique that would inspire visitors to discover Givenchy and its surprises. This boutique brings together the exciting elements of our world of French couture, our own DNA and blends them with the high energy of the city and its citizens.” – said Riccardo Tisci
