by Adriano Batista
Gran Canaria Swim Week is back and bigger than ever! This October, the island will once again transform into the European epicenter of swimwear design. With a lineup of 40 designers and brands, including 23 from the Canary Islands, 8 from the Spanish Peninsula, and 9 international firms, the event promises to showcase the latest trends in swimwear for Spring/Summer 2025.

The event will feature a mix of established designers and emerging talents. Renowned names like Aurelia Gil and Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada will grace the runway, alongside exciting newcomers. For the first time, American brands Guess, Alejandra Alonso Rojas, and Cynthia Rowley will make their debut at Gran Canaria Swim Week.
Gran Canaria Swim Week is a testament to the island’s commitment to the fashion industry. The Cabildo de Gran Canaria has played a crucial role in establishing the event as an international benchmark for swimwear. By featuring prestigious designers and brands, the event aims to promote Canarian talent and solidify its position as a key player in the European catwalk circuit.
The event’s impact extends far beyond the island. The last edition attracted over two million views online and generated a staggering 10,255% ROI. The event has also contributed to the growth of the Gran Canaria fashion sector, with a 6% increase in companies linked to the industry and an 8.16% increase in direct employment.
As Gran Canaria Swim Week approaches, the anticipation is building. This event promises to be a highlight of the European fashion calendar, showcasing the best of Canarian and international swimwear design.
See you there!
