Marni‘s latest collection, Spring/Summer 2025 VOL.2, invites us on a fantastical journey through the world of beauty. Inspired by the elusive nature of the sublime, the collection strips away the spectacle of the fashion show to focus on the art and heart of design.
Led by Francesco Risso, Marni’s creative director, the collection takes us into a progressively wondrous and fantastical realm. Roses unfurl, rhinestones glisten, fabric scraps sway, and pages of literature hand-pasted onto jerseys beckon our attention. Risso evokes beauty as a series of symbols and gestures, reducing it to its quintessential form.
The material persona of the collection is a radical essentialism. Cotton, leather, and suede take center stage, serving as a canvas for beauty’s many motifs. These materials symbolize the fundamentality of the thread as the genesis of design.
Impeccably styled by Carlos Nazario, the pieces are presented as a natural extension of the self, eliminating any pretenses and embracing the organic form.
