Take a look at Alex Mullins SS17 Backstage photographed by Eva K. Salvi during London Collections Men, in exclusive for Fucking Young!

Alex Mullins focuses on the virtual and repetitive collage we call The Internet for his Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The idea of cutting/pasting and customising/building are translated from tech to togs in Mullins’ typically experimental approach.

A palette of cream, powder blue, warm earthy brown and shrimp-pink dominate the collection across a vast and voluminous silhouette of wide-leg trousers and straightjacket-esque outerwear. Alongside the harsh structure of canvas and denim iems, some delicate pink pieces crafted out of cutout petals intricately studded together bring a celestial element in to the mix, while maintaining the raw quality that Mullins is known to bring to the table. Garments are seen on male and female models alike, alluding to a very current genderless collection.

The makeup, by Naoko Scintu at The Wall Group, gives a multi-coloured pearly sheen to the faces of the models, giving an almost bubble-like effect, which has been created using products by Jurlique.
