Haunted Feast: The Most Mysterious Night of the Year at Soho House

Soho House and Vandall & Kerri recently held a Halloween dinner in Madrid. The event, called “Haunted Feast,” brought together a hundred guests for an evening focused on atmosphere and sensory detail.
The night began in the library, a space transformed by smoke machines and the soft light from thousands of candles. A live piano performance filled the air with a soundtrack made just for the event. Guests drank cocktails, some of them wreathed in smoke, adding a layer of theater to the first moments.
From there, people moved to the main hallway. This was the heart of the evening: a long, lavish table set for a vampire’s banquet. The menu, created by Ángela Gimeno, offered a dark version of classic dishes. There were oysters and breads with faces, a bloody salad, and a final blood-red velvet cake.
A photobooth documented the creative costumes of the attendees, who dressed as baroque vampires and other fantasy creatures. The guest list included personalities from fashion and culture, such as Ester Expósito, Alfonso Bassave, Nina Urgell, Javier Calvo, Brays Efe, Lola Rodríguez, Carla Paucar, Yenesi, Curro Verdugo, Songa, Alex Turrion, Amanda Portillo, Fernando Valdivieso, Hugáceo Crujiente, Marcos Trueba, Andrea Vandall, among others.
