The Louise Trotter era at Bottega Veneta has officially begun, and in no other way than by presenting their new advertising campaign “Craft is our Language”, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of one of the Italian fashion house’s hallmarks, the Intrecciato.

Shot by Jack Davison and starring a first class cast, including Tyler, The Creator, Jack Antonoff, Troy Kotsur, Dario Argento, Lorenzo Musetti, among others, the images that make up the portfolio reflect the close connection that all these personalities have with this type of leather, used since 1975 in the manufacture of bags and small leather goods accessories, but now moved to the clothing section, for example in coats, shirts, or trousers.

Complementing the launch is a new printed book and a series of photographs and short films with new faces that will be released next September, when Louise Trotter will present her first collection as Creative Director for the firm.

Gradually, the direction Bottega Veneta is taking with the Brit at the helm becomes clear. What will we see next?
