Louis Vuitton Fall 2024 capsule collection by Pharrell Williams
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
French fashion house Louis Vuitton and the creative director of its men’s line, Pharrell Williams, are also among those who think it is time to start looking ahead to fall, which is getting closer and closer, as well as the launch of the capsule collection for the corresponding season, arriving next September.
The proposal for these months of the year, unlike previous ones presented by the designer, focuses on timeless style and what that entails, that is, the development of basic and versatile garments to be worn on any type of occasion, including tailoring. In addition to this, it can be seen practically in the 23 metropolitan style looks (and not cowboy) of which it is composed, a clear maturation of Williams’ vision, where the logos have moved to the background and the attention has focused on the fabrics, details, and why not say it, in the chosen colour palette, ranging from neutral tones to other more acidic ones, such as pistachio green or “BRAT”, as many know it now by the singer Charli XCX, or red.
Some of the most notable looks in the capsule collection have been dyed in the aforementioned tones, such as number 16, notable for the double-breasted coat with reinforced shoulders; number 19, featuring a red leather suit that has a brush-painted effect and is worn with an XL Alma bag; or number 22, also notable for its outer garment, a quilted zip-up jacket combined with a jumper, trainers and a briefcase bag in the same colour.
