Outlier’s Design Director Debuts WILLIE NORRIS FOR OUTLIER Capsule Collection
by Adriano Batista
Willie Norris and Outlier team up to unveil the WILLIE NORRIS FOR OUTLIER collection. Get ready for a wardrobe revolution with this eight-piece capsule that brings fluidity, modularity, and a personal touch to summer style in 2023. The collection is all about pushing boundaries with material-driven experimental menswear, a signature of Outlier since its launch in 2008.
This sizzling collection features some of Outlier’s classic fabric qualities, like the beloved INJEX – a highly breathable Japanese polyester linen with a long history at Outlier. INJEX brings a fresh twist to the Longline Blazer, a sporty jacket with a unique silhouette, stainless steel shanks, and eye-catching red stitching. The Skyscrapers Pant, inspired by Japanese workwear, rocks zippered mesh pockets and a high-waisted design – all thanks to the magic of INJEX.
The Newsbag is a standout in the collection, using Outlier’s trusty SUPERMARINE fabric as its base – a fabric they’ve been rocking since 2013. This one-strap bag takes inspiration from Willie’s school days, delivering newspapers with her trusty news bag.
The collaboration also introduces new fabrics to Outlier’s arsenal – ACRISPCOTTON, a crisp and light cotton poplin from Alibini, takes center stage in the longline short-sleeve button-up shirt. And don’t miss the HEMPMARINE VENTILE – a Swiss-woven, water-resistant organic cotton and hemp blend featured in the longline lab-shirt-coat silhouette.
