The Y-3 KYASU is a shoe that defies the norms of footwear design. Inspired by the idea of a concrete adidas Superstar, the shoe has a minimalist and edgy aesthetic that reflects Yohji Yamamoto’s avant-garde vision. The shoe consists of only four elements: a rubber shell-toe, a thick PU midsole, a suede upper, and laces. The upper is stitched directly onto the midsole, creating a contrast between the soft and the hard. The shoe has no insole or strobel, making it extremely lightweight and flexible.

The Y-3 KYASU is not only a shoe, but also a sculpture. The upper can be folded down and the shoe can stand on its own, thanks to the brick-like outsole. The shoe has a unique silhouette that challenges the conventional shape of a sneaker. The Y-3 KYASU comes in two versions: a high-top and a low-top. It’s available worldwide at adidas.com/y-3, on CONFIRMED, in store, and through select retailers.
