Idris Balogun is not just a designer, he is also a storyteller. His fashion label, WINNIE, is a tribute to his grandmother, PRINCESS WINIFRED DADEMU, who instilled in him a love for art and creative subcultures. For his latest collection, Balogun draws inspiration from the artist TED JOANS and the “BEAT GENERATION”, a group of writers and thinkers who challenged the norms of society in the 1950s and 1960s.

Balogun’s vision is to create a clothing line that reflects the spirit of unity and hope that these artists embodied. His collection features pieces that are sophisticated and functional, yet also expressive and sensual. He incorporates elements of jazz, poetry and travel into his designs, creating a unique aesthetic that appeals to a diverse and adventurous market.
