Metteson – Put it to sleep
Rising Norwegian queer pop star Metteson just dropped his most daring and artistically profound visuals to date with new single “Put it to sleep”. Co-directed and conceptualized by Metteson and Sondre Røe, the video invites us into a fantasy world where tears are made of sand, and Metteson’s emotive performance is central to the story. Choreographed by Metteson’s partner Ole, who stars in the video as a one-man microphone stand – described as “my little Gaga-moment” by Metteson.
Fred Roberts – Runaway
Introducing British pop’s brand new artist Fred Roberts and his debut single “Runaway”, out now. Both anthemic and introspective, this is the work of a young gay artist thinking hard about his past, and making music that, in the future, will help others make sense of the tumult of modern-day growing up and reckoning with your identity.
Christine and the Queens – True love feat. 070 Shake
Christine and the Queens will be back on June 9th with his new record ‘PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE’’. Teasing this new project with the poetic ballad “Be Honest”, the French artist teamed up with American producer Mike Dean for this album highly inspired by the gay fantasy novel “Angels in America” by Tony Kushner. To promote this upcoming album, Chris invited rapper 070 Shake on his new and mesmerizing single “True love”. To be noted that 070 Shake will not be the only guest on this record as Madonna features on 3 songs.
Oete – Cobra
French new pop sensation just delivered an exclusive new track “Cobra” and it’s highly contagious. It’s a catchy pop catchy track which follows the release of his first album Armes et Paillettes which came out last year. It contains singles “Ami à mort” and “Défense” which went on repeat on our playlist.
Khamari – Right my wrongs
Los Angeles-based, Boston-raised songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist artist Khamari just announced his debut album, “A Brief Nirvana”, which will be released on May 26th via RCA. This announcement arrives alongside a new single “Right my wrongs,” a track that plays like a personal journal entry reflecting on a past relationship.
Aidan – By myself
Inspired by Prince and Frank Ocean, South West London artist Aidan is one of the most promising alternative R&B artists you need to follow. Freshly signed to AWAL, he just dropped the visual of his delicious single “By myself”. For his debut, the 24 year old singer explores the complexities of a fortified love and the feminine form. True to his values, Aidan challenges his masochistic savior complex by allowing space for his love to tap into her masculine energy.
Mogwaa – Chances for bounces
Ready to dance? Seoul artist Magwaa is back to Peggy Gou’s Gudu label with new track “Chances for Bounces” and announces “Drifted”, his second EP for the imprint and a perfect summary of what makes him one of Korea’s most exciting contemporary artists. The EP is out on April 26th, be ready.
