Wales Bonner x Stüssy

A new collaboration between Wales Bonner and Stüssy explores the shared ground between two distinct worlds. Photographed by Zoe Ghertner in Los Angeles, the capsule collection views surf culture through a wide lens. Its inspiration draws from coastlines in Labadi, Bull Bay, Tokyo, and Santa Ana, a global connection highlighted on an updated Stüssy World Tour graphic.
The collection brings together the ease of surfwear and the refinement of Wales Bonner’s design. A double-breasted blazer in navy Loro Piana wool sits alongside a leather varsity jacket and a silk polo shirt printed with an image from Accra-based photographer Nana Yaw Oduro. Classic surf pieces are reimagined: a neoprene hoodie, logo-embroidered board shorts, and a collaborative beach sarong. Fringed shorts and leopard-print jumpers complete the mix.
The project is framed by a simple verse: “Together across the water / Blessings arrive with the tide.” This suggests a meeting of spirits rather than just styles. It is a quiet reflection on the flow of ideas between different shores.
