Victor von Schwarz, a renowned fashion designer hailing from Barcelona, was born in Sabadell in 1988. After finishing his fashion design studies and gaining experience working for other brands, he ventured out to create his own in 2013. His debut collection was showcased at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, where he showcased for three consecutive years. Later, he moved to Taipei, Taiwan, where he dressed local celebrities like Jolin Tsai and Soda Green, and expanded his brand internationally with retail points in New York, Barcelona, and Madrid.

The American Dream“, Victor’s latest collection presented during 080 Barcelona Fashion, was inspired by the idea that success is equated with wealth, fame, and material possessions. Set in 70s Hollywood, the collection draws inspiration from the era’s influx of aspiring stars from different parts of the United States and the dangers of the time. The collection is subtly cowboy-inspired, with denim as the base, complemented by waxes and tweeds. Inspired by rural youth, the textures used in the first part of the collection include Swiss embroidery and flower-printed cotton. The second half, portraying those who achieved success, features more sophisticated fabrics like silk, tulle, and lame. While the collection is bolder and sexier, it retains the classic cuts and a naive air that are the hallmarks of Victor’s designs.
