For Spring/Summer 2024, Velásquez undergoes a retrospective examination of its identity and past work. A deep dive into the brand’s previous collections becomes the compass, analyzing its DNA, key selling points, and core messages. This journey explores the recurring themes of gender, queer culture, and conscious methodologies that have defined the brand, culminating in a new collection that puts the spotlight on its values, resulting in a rebirth.
The quest continues, pushing the boundaries and challenging the conventional archetypes of the menswear landscape. With a signature aesthetic that combines a rebellious spirit and a “punkguardista” attitude, the collection is a fusion of repurposed leathers, denim, and cycling gear. It’s a canvas for self-expression, a platform for the personal, political, and sustainable voices of the wearer.
