UNDERCOVER Fall/Winter 2023
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
We could say without fear that the Japanese brand UNDERCOVER is undoubtedly the queen of collaborations this season because taking advantage of the fact that it presented its Fall/Winter 23-24 collection during PFW, it has introduced five collabs with it. Yes, you read that right, five.
“Kosmische” is the name given to the latest proposal, which deals with the philosophy between fashion and the street, as the brand intertwines different cultures in its designs. As a protagonist, it features the pioneering group that gave birth to German rock: CLUSTER. And as the title suggests, this collection expresses the COSMIC of UNDERCOVER.
Now let’s talk about the joint projects we are sure you’ve been wondering about. The first is a collaboration with the group CLUSTER. The next is with Danish poet and writer Kamilla Tolnø, who designed varsity jackets and added a quote from her book saying: “A wolf will never be a pet”.
In the field of accessories and footwear, there are also alliances. UNDERCOVER X KIJIMA TAKAYUKI is the only one in terms of accessories. Together they have designed hats that complement several of the looks. On the footwear side, we find the last two that make up the offer: UNDERCOVER x Adieu and UNDERCOVER x Astorflex.
