The British Fashion Council is back in the headlines again, and not to tell you which designers to keep on your radar this time, but to announce the recipients of the BFC Fashion Trust grants for 2023.
For those who aren’t aware of what these initials stand for or what exactly it is, we’ll tell you that it has to do with a charitable initiative that accelerates the growth of businesses through grants and mentoring through the BFC foundation. Grant money is awarded to beneficiaries who have identified a specific area within their business that they would like to grow and deliver within a set period of time.
Without further ado, the recipients of the BFC Fashion Trust 2023 grant are:
Chopova Lowena, Fruity Booty, Molly Goddard, NEOUS I PIFERI, and Richard Malone. These five designers, from now on, will be able to boast of being part of the exclusive group of designers who have been previous grantees, including Christopher Kane, David Koma, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, Mary Karantzou, Osman, Rejina Pyo, Roksanda, Sophia Webster, and Wales Bonner.
Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, said: “A huge congratulations to the 2023 BFC Fashion Trust recipients. Supporting recipients with specific areas of their business and enabling brands to think strategically allows them to gradually develop into incredible global brands of tomorrow. This group of designers are extremely inspiring as they tackle today’s issues head on, creating beautiful pieces with an innovative and sustainable acumen.”
We, the Fucking Young! team, join Ms. Rush’s message and congratulate all the BFC Fashion Trust 2023 recipients. Oh, and we look forward to seeing your proposals for a long time to come.
