Tanner Fletcher Spring/Summer 2025 “The Artists Dilemma”

Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell, the design duo behind Tanner Fletcher, unveiled their Spring/Summer 2025 collection “The Artists Dilemma” as a museum exhibit in a Chelsea gallery. Visitors wander through the art museum as if they were seeing an art exhibition with different “scenes” depicting abstract dilemmas. Even the event’s soundtrack featured a model turning records on a turntable. In addition to street casting, many early supporters of the brand also made up the models in exhibit including Dylan Mulvaney who wore a who hand painted a blank canvas dress that saw the vignette created by Jeanette Getrost.
“The collection is a representation of the struggle to decide which creative pathways to choose. It also represents the growing pains that come with starting a new business. We always want to do everything, make sure every category is full and perfected, but the truth is, it takes time to develop. Right now we’re in our era of many good problems to have.”
The two featured pieces for the season are The Artist’s Dilemma Ball Gown and The Artist’s Dilemma Shirt. These pieces demonstrate the difficulty of having too many options. Viewers noted unfinished ruffles hanging off the pieces, different bow styles, exposed tulle, different buttons, and even distinct shoulder silhouettes. Other techniques in the collection include a PVC trench coat created from tablecloths, prints in a black and white curtain toile, a retro cabbage rose design, and Tanner Fletcher’s famous printed sequin.
