See Never-Before-Exhibited Banksy Works in Moco Museum Barcelona
by Adriano Batista
Barcelona’s Moco Museum opened a new Banksy exhibition! Titled New Works by Banksy, the show presents twenty-five original pieces. Some of these works have never been shown in a museum before.

BULLET HOLE BUST (2006)
The exhibition focuses on one of Banksy’s main themes: power, and how to disrupt it. It looks at the ways control shapes daily life, and how the artist uses familiar images, simple gestures, and irony to take that control apart. Some pieces are loud. Others are quiet. All of them ask questions about the systems we live under and what resistance can look like.
Many international shows about Banksy include art that is not officially his. This exhibition is different. Every piece has been verified by Pest Control, the only group authorized to confirm Banksy’s work.

Banksy Flowerthrower
Two new works will appear in a museum for the first time. Madonna and Child from 2024 is a delicate but unsettling take on a sacred figure. Happy Choppers (Crude Oil), also from 2024, shows military helicopters breaking into a calm autumn scene.
Another key piece is Bullet Hole Bust from 2006. It is inspired by the story of David and Goliath, but is marked by a single bullet hole. The work was first bought directly from Banksy by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It turns an image of perfect beauty into a statement about vulnerability, violence, and how fragile power can be. It now belongs to the Moco Museum’s permanent collection.

Banksy_Laugh Now But One Day We’ll Be In Charge
These works will be shown alongside well-known pieces like Girl with Balloon (Gold), Love is in the Air (Red), and Laugh Now Panel B. Together, they create a conversation about irony, protest, and hope.
Moco Museum was one of the first museums in the world to display Banksy’s art. His work has always been important to the museum’s goal: to make contemporary art accessible and to support artists who question the way things are.
