London-based multidisciplinary artist Rina Sawayama shares the video to her latest single ‘Comme Des Garçons (Like the Boys)’ right in time for the fashion week. Contrary to the joyful violence of STFU! Rina proposes a poppier and pulsating club track which describes trying to alchemize the confidence of the gay men that have always shown Rina, love.
The video, directed by Eddie Whelan and creatively directed by Ben Ditto, see’s Rina embrace the otherworldliness of masculine confidence – a space-age reflection of the track’s themes. With shifting shapes, movement and colors‘ Comme Des Garçons (Like the Boys)’ pays homage to the fashion houses, their iconic logos sprawled across the visuals for this 90’s inspired video.
