We were shocked when the news was announced that Raf Simons was closing his eponymous fashion label. The feeling of helplessness quickly took hold of us, but to heal us the Belgian-born designer wanted to say goodbye to all those who love his brand with a campaign, which corresponds to the Spring/Summer 23 collection presented recently in London, during London Fashion Week (LFW).

Photographed by Willy Vanderperre and stylistically directed by Olivier Rizzo, the campaign presents the designer’s creations in a different way to how they were seen on the catwalk, creations that are very much inspired by the work he did at Jil Sander and which he is currently developing at Prada.

On this occasion, the frayed details and punk-like chains – a reference to work clothes – become the protagonists of the images. These elements fit very well with Raf’s aesthetic and with the garments; in particular with the black waistcoat and the yellow mohair jumper with a small faded effect in black. The denim and the famous Raf Simons logo are also present, the latter appearing on the chest area of the blue jumpsuit.
