QASIMI has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2024 collection in collaboration with New York-based visual artist, Kambui Olujimi. The collection, titled “Razzle Dazzle”, is inspired by the military form of camouflage that uses geometric shapes and contrasting colors to create optical illusions.

Olujimi, who is known for his watercolor paintings, sculptures, and installations, has created an exclusive pattern for the collection called “Undergrowth”, which features abstract shapes and vibrant hues. The pattern is an evolution of the artist’s authentic watercolor style, which he describes as “a way of thinking through the world”.

The collection also pays homage to Brutalism, the architectural style that was a favorite of QASIMI’s founder. The collection reflects this aesthetic through its wide silhouettes, tactile fabrics, and muted color palette of City Grey, Lilac Dust, and Silver, contrasted by Parchment, Sage Ash, and Dusky Green.

Another highlight of the collection is the accessory collaboration with Paris-based label, ASWAD, which specializes in small leather goods. The collaboration is born from a shared love of contemporary art and Arab roots, and draws from ASWAD’s nomadic approach to life and a legacy of functional design. The accessories feature multiple pockets, straps, and zippers, allowing the wearer to carry their essentials with ease and style.
