Prada Spring/Summer 2024 Campaign
by Adriano B.
Prada’s latest campaign for the Spring/Summer 2024 season is a tribute to the enduring values of fashion and its role in our lives. The campaign showcases the collection of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, which was presented in September, as a lens to explore the diverse and dynamic aspects of the fashion show. The show is not only a momentary spectacle, but also a reflection of the season and its themes: individuality, community, ephemerality, and eternity.
The campaign features several models, each with their own personality and style, captured by the photographer Willy Vanderperre in a series of candid and elegant shots. The portraits highlight the contrast and the connection between the singular and the collective, the personal and the professional, the intimate and the public. The models are not only wearing the clothes, but also expressing their identity and their relationship with fashion. Prada emphasizes that fashion is not a solitary endeavor, but a collaborative one.
The campaign also draws a parallel between fashion and cinema, two creative fields that involve both teamwork and individual talent. The campaign stars three acclaimed actors and artists who embody the Prada man: Harris Dickinson, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Troye Sivan. The actors are presented as themselves, not as characters, in a celebration of their uniqueness and authenticity.
